Eligibility & Anti-Abuse Rules
One-time usage: each user can apply a referral code only once in their account lifetime.
48-hour window for new users: invitees must apply a referral code within 48 hours of registration to receive new-user rewards.
No self-referrals: users cannot apply their own referral code.
Active inviter only: referral code must belong to an ACTIVE account.
Email anti-abuse: a rewarded invitee email can only receive new-user referral rewards once, even across re-registration.
No circular referrals: if A invited B, B cannot invite A back for rewards.
Weekly inviter cap: each inviter can receive rewards for up to 10 successful invites per week.
After inviter cap: invitees can still receive their rewards, but the inviter will not receive additional rewards beyond the weekly cap.
Technical Notes
Code format: 8-character uppercase alphanumeric string.
Readability-safe charset: confusing characters are excluded (for example: I, 1, O, 0).
Lazy generation: if a user has no code yet, the backend generates one when they first request it from the referral endpoint.
